Location:   This scenic hunting ranch is located approximately 50 miles southwest of Sonora and is about 36 driving miles north of Comstock.  It is approximately 52 air miles northwest of Del Rio in north-central Val Verde County. From Comstock, take State Highway 163 to an access road (just north of Bakers Crossing) which extends 1 mile west to the entrance of the ranch.  Even though this ranch is secluded, it’s within an hour of a few nearby towns: 70 miles W of Rocksprings, 45 miles S of Ozona. 60 miles NW of Del Rio. Del Rio offers healthcare, airport, shopping, dining, higher education, services, and groceries. The nearest airports are in Del Rio and in Ozona.

Land: Mayfield Ranch has gently rolling to steep terrain.  Elevations range from approximately 1,680 feet at the entrance of the property to a high elevation of approximately 2,000 feet at the tops of the hills. The ranch has a valley in its center providing access to most parts of the property.  Panoramic 360-degree views are available from the hilltops. The ranch also has scattered Oak Trees, Mesquite, Mountain Laurel, and Huisache, as well as other species of a native brush creating an ideal habitat for many game animals.
